Tennis legend Venus Williams proved that one wedding simply wasn’t enough when she married Italian actor and producer Andrea Preti in not one, but two separate ceremonies spanning two continents. The couple’s love story began at a 2024 Gucci show in Milan, where Andrea approached Venus at a VIP gathering and introduced himself in Italian—a language Venus speaks fluently. After just six months of dating, Andrea proposed during a magical January evening in Tuscany by encouraging Venus to make a wish on a star, then surprising her with a ring when she turned around. The couple’s first ceremony took place in September in Ischia, Italy, fulfilling their dream of marrying in Andrea’s homeland, though paperwork constraints made it informal.

Three months later, they made it official with a five-day celebration in Palm Beach, Florida, that redefined wedding elegance. The festivities included daily pool parties at their shared home, a yacht excursion orchestrated by sister Serena Williams, a Beyoncé-themed lip sync battle, and a boudoir-themed bridal shower. Venus stunned in 13 different bridal looks throughout the celebrations, including an ocean-inspired Georges Hobeika gown for the ceremony, where she walked down the aisle to Italian music while Andrea entered to the Jackson 5. The couple wrote their own vows in both English and Italian, then shared their first dance to “I Only Have Eyes for You” by the Flamingos. In a modern twist that celebrated family unity, Venus’s sisters—including Serena—wore white gowns alongside the bride, creating a beautiful visual representation of sisterhood. The after-party continued until 2 a.m., with 25 of Andrea’s loved ones flying in from Italy to join the celebration. As Venus told Vogue, “It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.”
